The Avre is a river in northwestern France . It has its source in the municipality of Bubertré , in the Perche Regional Nature Park . It generally drains to the northeast and after 80 kilometers flows into Montreuil , north of the city of Dreux , as a left tributary into the Eure .
The river system is part of the French Plan for the Management and Management of Waters (SAGE) . There are also the sources of the field in drinking water wells from Paris .
In the Middle Ages, the river formed the border with the Duchy of Normandy .
