Germainville is about 33 kilometers north of Chartres and about 64 kilometers west-southwest of Paris . Germainville is surrounded by the neighboring communities Cherisy in the north and northwest, Serville in the north, Broué in the east, La Chapelle-Forainvilliers in the south, Mézières-en-Drouais in the southwest and Sainte-Gemme-Moronval in the west.

The National Route 12 runs through the north of the municipality .
