La Saucelle is located about 35 kilometers northwest of Chartres on the Gervaine river . La Saucelle is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Les Châtelets in the north, Crucey-Villages in the northeast, Louvilliers-lès-Perche in the east, La Framboisière in the south, La Puisaye in the southwest and La Mancelière in the west and northwest.

From 1973 to 1987 La Framboisière and La Saucelle were united to form the municipality of La Framboisière-la-Saucelle .
