Villiers-le-Morhier is a French commune with 1,339 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Eure-et-Loir in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Dreux and the canton Épernon (until 2015: canton Nogent-le-Roi ). The inhabitants are called Villemoritains .
geography
Villiers-le-Morhier is about 19 kilometers west of Rambouillet and about 19 kilometers southeast of Dreux am Eure , which runs on the western edge of the municipality. Villiers-le-Morhier is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Coulombs in the north, Senantes in the north and northeast, Saint-Lucien in the northeast, Saint-Martin-de-Nigelles in the east, Maintenon in the south and southeast, Pierres in the south, Nogent-le- Roi in the west and Lormaye in the northwest.
The community is on the Via Turonensis , a variant of the Camino de Santiago .
