Boutigny-Prouais is a French commune with 1,745 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Eure-et-Loir in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Dreux and the canton Anet (until 2015: canton Nogent-le-Roi ). The inhabitants are called Botipratiens .

Boutigny-Prouais is about 16 kilometers east of Dreux . Boutigny-Prouais is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Goussainville in the north, Maulette and Dannemarie in the northeast, Bourdonné and Condé-sur-Vesgre in the east, Grandchamps in the southeast, Les Pinthières and Saint-Laurent-la-Gâtine in the south, Ouerre in the southwest, La Chapelle-Forainvilliers to the west and Broué to the west and northwest.

In 1972 the previously independent communities of Boutigny and Prouais were merged.
