Ganderbal is a city ( Municipal Committee ) in the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir .

The city of Ganderbal is located in the Kashmir Valley 15 km north of Srinagar at the foot of the Himalayas . The city is located at an altitude of 1584 m on the bank of the Sind , which leaves the mountains here. A road bridge crosses the river at Ganderbal.
