Gilles is located about 55 kilometers north of Chartres and about 57 kilometers west-northwest of Paris . Gilles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Neauphlette in the north and northeast, Longnes in the Osen and northeast, Mondreville in the east, Le Mesnil-Simon in the south and southwest, La Chaussée-d'Ivry in the southwest and Guainville in the west and northwest.
