The Comptoir du matériel pour les travaux publics, les mines et l'industrie operating as an office for public works, mining and industrial equipment, the trading posts of the on railways specialized railway vehicle and railway equipment manufacturers Decauville , A. Popineau and Vizet fils & Cie .

history

The office was founded on January 17, 1920 with a capital of 2 million francs , divided into 4,000 shares of 500 francs each. Its headquarters were at 31 rue de London in Paris. The board consisted of Messrs. Freynet, Lassalle, Normand, Pétolat, Popineau, Vizet and Weitz.

In the post-war period of World War I, the standard and narrow-gauge locomotives were subject to great wear and tear and had to be repaired more frequently than before. In order to be able to better serve the public administration and industry in the procurement of new rail vehicles and equipment, several French industrial companies have formed a cartel , whereby the Kontor was the main contact for all inquiries regarding the products of the following companies: Société Nouvelle des Établissements Decauville aîné in Paris, A. Popineau, in La Plaine Saint-Denis and Vizet fils & Cie, in La Plaine Saint-Denis. There were sales offices in Paris , Bordeaux , Lille , Lyon , Marseille , Nancy , Nantes , Strasbourg and Toulouse, and offices with warehouses in Algiers , Oran and Tunis . The main products were railroad cars, railcars, wagons, locomotives, excavators, steam shovel excavators and stationary and transportable railway, industrial and mining equipment.
