Conny Schmalfuß (born October 29, 1975 in Schwedt ) is a former German diver . She started in artificial jumping from the 1 m and 3 m board and in 3 m synchronized jumping. At the beginning of her career, she also jumped from the 10 m tower, but later focused on the competitions off the board. She won several medals at world and European championships and took part in two Olympic Games.

Schmalfuß celebrated her first major success at the age of 15 at the 1991 European Championships in Athens , where she won bronze from the 1m board. In 1995 in Vienna a silver medal from the 10 m tower followed. It was the only medal she could win in a tower competition in her career. At the European Championships in Seville in 1997 , she won her first international title. Together with Claudia Bockner she won gold in the 3 m synchronized jumping . In 1999 in Istanbul she won silver in the same competition, this time alongside Simona Koch . With Dörte Lindner , she repeated the silver medal in the 3 m synchronized jumping in Helsinki in 2000 . At the home European championship in Berlin in 2002 she was able to win gold again with dubbing partner Ditte Kotzian . She also won bronze from the 3 m board. The duo Schmalfuß and Kotzian won silver in Madrid in 2004 . It was Schmalfuß 'fifth 3 m synchronized medal with four different partners at European Championships in a row. No other diver managed it.

In 2001 Schmalfuß also succeeded in winning the first medal at a world championship . In Fukuoka she won bronze with Kotzian in the 3 m synchronized jumping. The duo followed up with a silver medal in Montreal in 2005 . In 2003 in Barcelona Schmalfuß also achieved her only individual medal at world championships with silver from the 1 m board.

She took in 2000 in Sydney for the first time in the Olympic Games in part. She was eliminated from the 3 m board in the preliminary fight, in the 3 m synchronized jumping she was seventh with Lindner. In 2004 in Athens she jumped to sixth place with Kotzian in the dubbing competition.

Schmalfuß started for the Berlin TSC . She was German champion nine times. In 1990 she also became a European Junior Champion.

She ended her active career in 2006 and began studying law at Humboldt University .
