Conrad Hellwig

Conrad Hellwig (born October 7, 1824 in Haddamar ; † June 25, 1889 there ) was a German farmer, mayor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Hellwig attended the Latin school in Fritzlar and the grammar school. Then he devoted himself to agriculture. He was also mayor of his home parish, member of the permanent administrative committee in Kassel and the district council in Fritzlar. Between 1860 and 1867 he was a member of the Kurhessisches Landtag. From 1867 to 1873, from 1879 to 1882 and again from 1886 to 1888, he represented the constituency of Kassel 7 (Melsungen - Fritzlar) in the Prussian House of Representatives .

From 1884 to 1887 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Kassel 8 ( Hanau , Gelnhausen ) and the German Conservative Party .
