Conrad Phillips

Conrad Phillips (* 13. April 1925 as Conrad Philip Havord in London ; † 13. January 2016 in Chippenham , Wiltshire , England ) was a British actor .

Life

Phillips joined the Royal Navy at the age of 17 and served in it during World War II . After his retirement in 1945, he took acting classes at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art . After completing his training, he starred in several British films, including the role of Harold in the popular Miss Marple filming 4:50 p.m. from Paddington with Margaret Rutherford . After starring in some British coat-and-sword series of the 1950s, Phillips received the title role in the ITV series William Tell in 1958 . Of the adventure series set in 14th century Switzerland, 39 episodes had been produced by 1959. After the end of the series he was until the mid-1960s in several other feature films such as Hammer - Horror shadow of the cat to see this commitment, however, were zunehmens rare.
