Convolvulus farinosus is a kind ofplantfrom the genus of the bindweed ( Convolvulus ) in the family of the bindweed family(Convolvulaceae).

description

Convolvulus farinosus is a perennial plant whose thin, twisting and herbaceous stems can be up to 100 cm long. The plants have a pressed down, downy hair. The leaves are stalked, triangular-egg-shaped, arrow-shaped and notched on the edge.

The inflorescence stalks are in the armpits, are usually as long as the bracts and have one to three (rarely up to five) flowers . The sepals are pointed to prickly. The crown is about 10 mm long and pink in color.

Distribution and locations

The species is distributed from Eritrea to southern Africa and is also found in Madagascar and the Arabian Peninsula. However, it grows as a neophyte in the Azores and near Lisbon in hedges.
