Corbera d'Ebre is a Catalan municipality in the province of Tarragona in northeastern Spain . It is in the Comarca Terra Alta .

Corbera d'Ebre was the scene of the bloody Ebro Battle between July and November 1938 during the Spanish Civil War . In the course of this battle, the entire place on the hill was destroyed and the residents had to resettle below, along the road.

The destroyed and uninhabitable Poble Vell ('Old Village') on the hill has been a cultural monument and a memorial against the war since July 20, 1992.
