Corentine Quiniou

Corentine Quiniou (born May 16, 1982 in Paris ) is a French racing driver . It takes part in circuit races as well as rallies and rally raids .

Career

Quiniou started karting at the age of 14 . In 2001 she started racing in the Formula Campus . During her studies she took part in Formula France and in various rallies and endurance races. In 2004 she completed her studies with a Bachelor of Arts in International Business Administration and Communication from the American University in Paris .

In 2004 Quiniou achieved her first success in motorsport in an Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto at the Rallye des Princesses with third place. A year later she won the rally in a Porsche 911 . In the same year she finished second in the Aïcha des Gazelles rally and took part in the Optic 2000 rally in Tunisia on a Toyota Land Cruiser . As co-driver of Florence Bourgnon, she contested the Dakar Rally in the same vehicle in 2006 , which she finished in 49th place. In the same year she won the Aicha des Gazelles rally for the first time. In 2007 she repeated her previous year's victory. She also took part in the Transafricaine Classic , where she reached eighth place overall.

From 2007 Quiniou turned back to the circuit racing. She took in a Chevron B16 at the classic endurance racing part and finished fifth in the standings. A year later she won the Classic Endurance Racing. In 2008 she also took part in the Peugeot 207 THP Spider Cup . In 2009 she won the 4WD category of the Aïcha des Gazelles rally. For the first time she contested the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring , which she finished in a Ford Focus ST in 100th place overall. She also drove a Jaguar XK 150 at the Gstaad Classic Rally .

In 2010 Quiniou drove an Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4 in the Dubai 24 Hours . At the end of the race she was in 49th place overall. She also reached 25th place in the Tour Auto with a Jaguar E-Type .

In the same year, Quiniou was disqualified at the final stage of the Aïcha des Gazelles rally due to a proven tampering with the speedometer and the satellite tracking system of her Toyota Land Cruiser. It is now believed that she has achieved her successes in previous years at this event in the same way.
