Corinna Schumacher (born March 2, 1969 in Halver ; née Betsch ) is European champion in reining - western riding (2010). She has been married to the former racing driver Michael Schumacher since 1995 .

Life

Corinna Schumacher is a trained office clerk . She runs a riding stables in Givrins in the Swiss Vaud , which she has expanded into the most modern riding center in Switzerland. She is the host of international horse shows. At the European Championships in Western Riding of the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) she won the gold medal in 2010.

The committed animal rights activist supported the animal rights organization PETA in 2006 .

Private

She met Michael Schumacher in 1991 as a friend of Heinz-Harald Frentzen . On August 1, 1995, the two married in Kerpen . The church wedding took place four days later in the chapel on the Petersberg . They have two children together and lived in Vufflens-le-Château until 2008 , then in Gland on Lake Geneva in Switzerland . Her son Mick is also a racing car driver. Like her mother, her daughter Gina Maria practices reining western riding. Gina Schumacher won gold medals at the World Championships for young riders in 2017 with the team and in individual riding.
