Corinne Nora Huber (* 1986 in Aarau ) is a Swiss musician ( vocals , cello , piano, guitar, bass).

Huber grew up in a family of musicians in Rupperswil ; her father is the pianist and composer Felix Huber ; the saxophonist Christoph Huber is her younger brother. She started playing guitar, cello and piano at an early age, later the double bass was added. At the age of 15 she took singing lessons. She played in a trio with her father and brother. After graduating from high school, Huber began studying history and literature at the University of Basel ; However, at the same time as the bachelor's exams she passed the entrance exam for the jazz school; shortly afterwards she began studying at the Bern University of the Arts , which she completed in 2017 with a Master of Composition & Arrangement . Corinne studied singing with Efrat Alony and Andreas Schaerer and composition with Martin Streule , Django Bates , Bert Joris , Frank Sikora and Christoph Baumann .

With her band Nojakîn , Huber won a grant from the Aargau Board of Trustees as a singer-songwriter during her studies. With the support of SRF 2 , the group recorded their debut album Silent Smile in 2015 . In the same year the band toured in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. In 2016, the Aargauer Kuratorium honored Huber with a work contribution: She spent six months in New York, where she collaborated with musicians there such as Philip Dizack and ultimately with the band Roiin . Nojakîn was part of the Suisse Diagonales Jazz Festival in 2017 ; In 2018 the album Perfection in a Bird was released , like the debut on the German label QFTF.

As a singer, Huber is also active in various bands such as Malou Bien, May Kasahara, NOJA, and UBQ ; she has also performed in Icarus, sing or die her father. As a composer, she also worked for the Church Music Congress Switzerland 2015.
