Cornelius Bronsveld

Cornelius Bronsveld MAfr (born February 17, 1905 in Bussum , Netherlands ; † January 14, 1980 ) was a Dutch religious and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Tabora .

Life

Cornelius Bronsveld joined the religious order of the White Fathers in and received on 29 June 1930, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On May 31, 1950, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the titular bishop of carallia and Apostolic Vicar of Tabora. The bishop of Haarlem , Johannes Petrus Huibers , donated him episcopal ordination on August 22nd of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the Vicar Apostolic of Mbeya , Antoon van Oorschoot MAfr, and the Coadjutor Bishop of Breda , Jozef Willem Maria Baeten .

Cornelius Bronsveld was due to the elevation of the Apostolic Vicariate Tabora to on March 25, 1953 Archdiocese first Archbishop of Tabora. On December 21, 1959, Pope John XXIII. the resignation put forward by Bronsveld and appointed him titular Archbishop of Leontopolis in Augustamnica . On November 30, 1970, he renounced the titular Archdiocese of Leontopolis in Augustamnica.

Bronsveld attended the first and second session of the Second Vatican Council .
