The Corsica Marina Seconda is a ferry of the Italian shipping company Corsica Ferries , which entered service in 1974 as Stena Nautica for the Stena Line . The ship has been in service on the route from Livorno to Bastia since 1986 .

history

The Stena Nautica was built under hull number 379 in the Rickmers shipyard in Bremerhaven and was launched on February 3, 1974. After the takeover by Stena Line on October 1, 1974, the ship was chartered directly to Canada and used there as Marine Nautica between North Sydney and Port aux Basques .

After the Marine Nautica had spent twelve years in Canada under various operators, it was sold to Corsica Ferries in June 1986 and renamed Corsica Marina II . From then on it was used on the route between Livorno and Bastia. In October 1999 it was given its current name Corsica Marina Seconda .
