Coux-et-Bigaroque ( Occitan : Lo Cos e Bigaròca ) is a commune déléguée in the southwestern French municipality of Coux et Bigaroque-Mouzens with 987 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Dordogne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . The inhabitants are called Couxois .

Coux-et-Bigaroque is about 60 kilometers south of Périgueux on the north bank of the Dordogne river .

history

In 1825 Coux and Bigaroque were united as a municipality. On January 1, 2016, the Commune nouvelle Coux et Bigaroque-Mouzens was formed with the then neighboring municipality of Mouzens .
