The Lac du Causse reservoir

The Couze is a river in France that runs in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises in the municipality of Jugeals-Nazareth and generally drains west to northwest. Below Noailles it seeps into the karst subsoil and reappears in a karst spring near Chasteaux . It then flows through the Lac du Causse reservoir , which has been expanded into a water sports center, and finally flows into the Vézère as a left tributary after a total of 17 kilometers below Larche . On its way, the Couze crosses the Corrèze department and forms the border with the neighboring Dordogne department in the mouth section .
