Crash Nomada (formerly Dorlene Love ) is a folk-punk band from the Swedish capital Stockholm .
history
The band was founded in 2004 as a punk group under the name Dorlene Love , but after many experiences as a street musician , the band turned to more folk music influences. In 2008 a first album was released on the Swedish label Birdnest Records.
Due to the increasing international awareness and confusion with the singer Darlene Love , the group was renamed Crash Nomada in March 2011. Crash Nomada made its first appearances in front of a German audience in 2011 in Berlin and Hamburg .
style
Crash Nomada plays a mixture of punk rock and different folk styles from the Middle East , the Balkans , North Africa and Scandinavia . The music is sometimes referred to as gypsy punk .
