Creve Armando Machava (born February 8, 1996 in Maputo ) is a Mozambican athlete who specializes in the 400 meter hurdles .
Athletic career
Creve Armando Machava gained his first international experience in 2013 at the African Youth Championships in Warri , where he won the bronze medal in the 110-meter hurdles in 14.31 seconds. He then retired from the Junior African Championships in Mauritius over 110 m hurdles with 15.45 s in the first round and finished sixth over 400 m hurdles in 54.38 s. The following year he won the silver medal in the 400 meter hurdles behind his compatriot Kurt Couto at the Jogos da Lusofonia in Goa in 53.44 seconds . Then he reached the semi-finals at the Junior World Championships in Eugene , in which he was eliminated with 51.97 s. In 2015 he retired at the Junior African Championships in Addis Ababa with 59.76 s in the lead and at the 2016 African Athletics Championships in Durban he also failed with 51.62 s in the first round. In 2017 he won the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku in 50.73 s and also qualified for the World Championships in London , where he failed in the preliminary round with 51.71 s . In 2018 he took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast for the first time and was eliminated there with 51.60 seconds. In 2019 he made it to the final of the Africa Games in Rabat , but could not finish his run there. He also took part again in the World Championships in Doha , where he was eliminated again in the run with 50.76 s .
