Cristiano Del Grosso (born March 24, 1983 in Giulianova ) is an Italian football player who has been under contract with the Italian club Delfino Pescara 1936 since the summer of 2018 .

Career

He learned to play football in the youth of Giulianova Calcio . In 2000 he was included in the professional team of Giulianova Calcio (Serie C1) and played six league games by the end of the season. In the following four years he played constant with Giulianova in Serie C, but had to complete two additional play-out games to keep the league in the seasons 2002/03 and 2004/05, as they had only reached 16th place. In these, Del Grosso managed to get the league with Giulianova.

In the summer of 2005 he moved to Serie A for Ascoli Calcio . In Ascoli Piceno he earned a regular place in defense. He finished the season with Ascoli in 10th place, one of the best placements in the club's history. After playing 30 games with Ascoli, he left the club after a year for Sardinia. He signed with Cagliari Calcio , where he had to go through a difficult first season. Cristiano Del Grosso made 22 appearances in Serie A, but his club fought relegation until the last matchday. With 40 points they finished the season in 17th place and collected only one point more than Chievo Verona, who had to relegate. In the following season the Sardinians managed a slightly better placement with 42 points, in which Del Grosso played 17 games and was again without a goal.

The next transfer followed in the summer of 2008: Cristiano Del Grosso joined the Tuscan club AC Siena . Already in his first season with the Tuscans, he earned a regular place. Del Grosso played 30 league games. In the 2009/10 season, Cristiano Del Grosso was one of the regulars at AC Siena, but rose with the club in Serie B.

In 2013 Del Grosso moved to Atalanta Bergamo , where he was regularly used. 2015 he was on the FC Bari 1908 awarded 2016 SPAL Ferrara , with whom he in the Serie A rising.

In the summer of 2017, Del Grosso moved to FC Venice .
