Gastón Brugman , full name Gastón Duarte Brugman , (born September 7, 1992 in Rosario ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

Brugman first played for Estudiantes de Rosario in Uruguay . About the youth team of Club Atlético Peñarol , his path led at the age of 15 to Italy in 2007, where he first went through a trial training phase at FC Empoli and finally joined the local youth department. The 1.72 meter tall Brugman, who can be used as a striker and midfielder, was then at least in the 2010/11 season in the squad of the Italian second division club from Empoli . He is said to have only joined the first team in 2011. During that season he played two Serie B games and scored one goal. He made his league debut on March 5, 2011 against Modena. In the following season he was on the pitch 18 times in the league. He also scored a hit. In mid-2012 he joined the first division club Delfino Pescara 1936 . However, it was not used there at first and was loaned to Grosseto in March 2013 . In the rest of the season he played twelve games there in Serie B. For the 2013/14 season he returned to Pescara. During that season he played 35 times in the second division and scored four goals. He was also used twice in the Coppa Italia . In the 2014/15 season he was used 19 times (two goals) in the second highest Italian league. He also ran in five play-off games (no goal). In July 2015 he was awarded to US Palermo , for which he was used 14 times (no goal) in the league in the 2015/16 season. He then returned to Delfino Pescara and completed 27 league games (one goal) and one game (no goal) in the Coppa Italia in the 2016/17 season.

National team

Brugman was a member of the Uruguayan U-15 team coached by Fabián Coito , which took part in the U-15 South American Championship in Brazil in 2007 and finished second behind the host country. He was part of the Uruguayan U-17 squad at the 2009 U-17 World Cup in Nigeria . He was used four times in the tournament. He did not score a hit.
