Cristieana Cojocaru

Cristeana Cojocaru (after marrying Cojocaru-Matei ; born January 2, 1962 in Cujmir) is a Romanian athlete .

Life

At the European Indoor Championships she won the bronze medal in the 800-meter run in Gothenburg in 1984 and in Athens in 1985 . She won gold at the World Indoor Games in 1985 .

At the Romanian championships, she won the gold medal in the 400-meter run in 1983 . In 1982, 1983 and 1984 she also won the gold medal in the 400-meter hurdles .

At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, she won the bronze medal in the 400-meter hurdles behind the Moroccan Nawal El Moutawakel (gold) and the American Judi Brown (silver).

Cristieana Cojocaru-Matei is 1.72 m tall and weighed 62 kg during her active time.
