Cristina Rota

Cristina Rota (born January 30, 1945 in La Plata , Argentina ) is an Argentine actress , drama teacher and director who lives in Spain.

Life

Cristina Rota was married to fellow actor Diego Botto and lived with him and their children María Botto and Juan Diego Botto in Argentina. After her husband disappeared during the dirty war of military dictatorship in March 1977 , the actress moved with her children to the Spanish capital, Madrid . In 1979 Rota gave birth to their third child, Nur Al Levi . She also works as an actress.

In 1978, Cristina Rota founded an acting school in Spain, the Escuela de Interpretación . There studied among others Malena Alterio , Marta Etura , Pilar Castro , Julia Beer Hold , Goya Toledo , Romina Espinosa , Penelope Cruz and Secun de la Rosa . In her work as an acting teacher Rota wrote the textbook Los primeros pasos del actor (Eng. The first steps of the actor) , published in 2003 .

In 2008 Cristina Rota's autobiography was published under the title Diré Que Te Recuerdo (Eng. I will say that I remember you) .
