Julia Beerhold
Julia Beerhold (born September 21, 1965 in Düsseldorf , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German singer , actress and politician ( Democracy in Motion ).
Life
Beerhold grew up bilingual with German and Spanish as mother tongue. After various stays, including in Malaysia , France and Chile , she lived in Madrid for several years . There she completed her acting studies at the Cristina Rota drama school.
Beerhold was initially mainly active as a singer. From 1991 to 1994 she toured the cultural scene of Madrid with variety and cabaret performances. In the 1990s she was a singer and guitarist in two punk rock bands in Cologne . Since 1997 she has been a regular pianist and singer with the specially designed Serge Gainsbourg evening I love you ... I also do not tour.
Since the late 1990s, Beerhold has mainly worked as an actress for film and television . Occasionally she also did theater . In 2003 she appeared, under the direction of Volker Lippmann , at the Tiefrot Theater in Cologne as Marina in a stage version of Pedro Almodóvar's film comedy Fessle mich! on.
Beerhold has played several leading and supporting roles in short and feature films since 2004 . However, her main focus is on television.
Beerhold took on several continuous series roles, various main episode roles and guest roles. A continuous series role had since 1998 in the WDR - television series The Anrheiner . There she played the volunteer, journalist and presenter Karin Radke. After 2011 she was also seen in this role in the sequel Ein Fall für die Anrheiner . In 2001/2002 she played the main role of Kathi Laboga in the Sat.1 crime series Die Kumpel , at the side of Frank Stieren ; she embodied the wife of police investigator Tim Laboga.
Beerhold had various episode roles, including in the ZDF series SOKO Cologne , Die Rosenheim-Cops (as lover Vera Engelbrecht in the episode Nobody saw it ), Notruf Hafenkante (as Steffi Werner, wife of the car dealer Stefan Werner, in the episode Money or Love ) and in the Sat.1 crime series The Last Bull (as wife and suspect Clara Dirks in the episode Santa Claus is dead ).
In 2011 she was in the ZDF telenovela Lena - Love of my Life in the role of music producer Maja Clemens. In the same year she stood in front of the camera for a leading role in the ARD hospital series In all friendship .
Beerhold also acted in several television films. In the ARD crime comedy Ein Fall für Fingerhut (2010) she played alongside Ralph Herforth the role of his wife Angelika Höllerich, who, together with her husband, runs a dubious flirting school with an esoteric touch. In the ARD television comedy Freilaufende Männer (2011) she played the supporting role of Eloise.
From February 2009 to August 2017 she was a member of the executive board of the Federal Association of Film and Television Actors (BFFS). Her main work there included social security and the improvement of working conditions for film and television actors.
In 2017 Beerhold was elected federal chairman of the Democracy in Motion party.
Beerhold lives in Cologne.
