Cristo (born October 24, 1997 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife ; full name Cristo Ramón González Pérez ) is a Spanish football player who has been under contract with Udinese Calcio since July 2019 .

Career

The Tenerife- born striker began playing club football at CD Tablero and CD Laurel before joining the youth team at CD Tenerife in 2008 . In the 2014/15 season , actually his first year in the A-Youth (U19), he made 6 appearances (one goal) in the professional team in the Segunda División . In the 2015/16 season , Cristo was used more often and scored one goal in 24 league appearances. This was followed by 21 games (3 goals) in the 2016/17 season .

For the season 2017/18 Cristo joined Real Madrid and was in the squad of the second team , which in the third-tier Segunda División B played. In his first season he scored 11 goals in 35 league games for the second substitute under head coach Santiago Solari . After Solari had taken over the first team, Cristo made his debut at the end of October 2018 when he scored the final score in the Copa del Rey in a 4-0 win against UD Melilla after being substituted in in the closing stages. After another cup appearance, he made his debut in the Primera División in mid-January 2019 when he came on for Karim Benzema in the 2-1 win against Betis Sevilla in the second half . He then played one more time in the Copa del Rey, before Zinedine Zidane took over the team again in March and no longer considered him. For the second team, Cristo played 35 times (33 times from the start) in Segunda División B in the 2018/19 season and scored 20 goals. In the promotion play-offs he was used in both games against FC Cartagena and scored a goal in the first leg, which was not enough to advance.

During the 2020 summer break, Cristo moved to the Italian first division club Udinese Calcio , with whom he signed a contract until June 30, 2024. Even before the start of the season, however, he was loaned to the Segunda División at SD Huesca until the end of the 2019/20 season. There he came under the head coach Míchel to 26 second division appearances (13 times from the start), in which he scored 5 goals.
