Crocus oreocreticus is a plant from the genus of crocus ( Crocus ).

Crocus oreocreticus is a perennial tuber - geophyte that reaches heights of growth of 5 to 9 centimeters. The leaves are bare. The tuber shell consists of fine mesh fibers. The throat is white and bald. The flowers are lavender to purple in color. You have a dark vein. Outside they are light silver or light yellow. The branches of the style are red and long. The anthers and pollen are yellow.

The flowering period extends from October to December.

Occurrence

Crocus oreocreticus is endemic to Crete . The species grows in the mountains Kedros , Psiloritis , Asteroussia , Dikti and Thripti in Phrygana , mountain forests, hedgehog upholstered heaths and on clay areas at altitudes of 750 to 2000 meters.
