The Croix A35 / A36 (or: Croix de Mulhouse ) is a motorway junction in Alsace , which is located east of Mulhouse in Alsace ( department Haut-Rhin ). Here the A35 autoroute intersects with the A36 autoroute .
Position and design
The cross is near the village of Sausheim . The closest major city is Mulhouse. The triangle is located about 20 km north of Basel , about 8 km west of Ottmarsheim , about 25 km south of Colmar and on the city limits of Mulhouse. Immediately to the southeast of the cross is a Peugeot factory .
The design of the cross is a modified clover leaf with tangential ramps. There is a continuous east-west or west-east carriageway on the A36. In order to drive on the A35 in north-south or south-north direction, you have to turn, as the main carriageway of the A35 joins the A35 in a northerly direction, as does the main carriageway of the A35 in a southerly direction into the A36 in a westerly direction. For this purpose, the A36 is crossed by two very high and long bridges. The A35 leads over two ramps that cross the A36 in a central bridge structure. You can also turn off here on the western side of the road or in the direction of Ottmarsheim. All turning lanes in or from the direction of Ottmarsheim are single-lane, all turning lanes in the direction of Mulhouse are two-lane.
