Csorvás [ ˈʧorvaːʃ ] is a small town in southern Hungary . It is located in Békés County , which in turn is part of the Dél-Alföld statistical planning region . The next larger town, Orosháza , is about 16 km away along main road 47 .

Csorvás can, as can be determined from archaeological finds, look back on at least 850 years of history . The first written mention of it comes from the year 1456. Csorvás has had city rights since July 1, 2005. There are several monuments and three churches. According to the 2001 census, Csorvás has 5738 inhabitants.

Places in the vicinity are Uzon, Diószeg and Felsőhegy.
