Tótkomlós is a town with almost 6000 inhabitants in the Békés county in Hungary .
In the town, whose name literally means Slovak hops , is a farming museum .
history
The place was destroyed in the great Turkish war and rebuilt after 1715 by Slovak settlers. Following the Second World War , the Czechoslovak-Hungarian population exchanges resulted in the Slovaks being resettled to Nădlac in Romania .
geography
Tótkomlós is located in the small area of Orosháza in the Hungarian lowlands a good 10 kilometers south of the district town of Orosháza and 225 kilometers southeast of Budapest. The Mezőtúr- Orosháza-Mezőhegyes railway line runs through the town.
