The Cully Jazz Festival is a year since 1983 in late March and early April in nine days in the wine-producing Cully on Lake Geneva held forming Jazz Festival.

The festival was founded in 1983 by friends Emmanuel Gétaz and Daniel Thentz. Every year around 65,000 visitors (2015) come to around 80 concerts at various locations in the town. Initially the concerts took place in the Salle Davel, but it burned down in 1995, so that the festival was moved to a tent on Place d'Armes directly on the lake, the main stage. At the same time, the number of places has been doubled. Some of the concerts were released on phonograms.

Every year the village of Cully celebrates jazz with renowned concerts and numerous loyal jazz fans who stroll from one “caveau” (cellar) to another as they please and the atmosphere of the wine-growing village with its alleys, cellars and lakeside promenades and the mix between the chargeable ones Enjoy the IN Festival concerts and the free OFF Festival concerts.

The three stages of the IN Festival are: «Chapiteau», «Next Step» and «Temple». Outstanding artists such as Bobby McFerrin , Wayne Shorter , Gilberto Gil , Madeleine Peyroux , Marianne Faithfull , Dee Dee Bridgewater , Charles Lloyd , Jan Garbarek , Carla Bley , Marcus Miller , Michel Petrucciani , John Scofield , Ahmad Jamal , Monty Alexander , Gregory Porter or Lisa Simone .

With its twelve restaurants and cellars ("Caveaux") scattered throughout the village, the OFF Festival is a springboard for many young jazz talents in Switzerland. Indeed, it often happens that an artist from the OFF Festival finds himself in the program of the IN Festival a few years later. But it also happens that an artist of the IN Festival returns to an OFF stage of Cully Jazz.

While the number of the three IN stages and twelve OFF club concert venues remained the same, the number of concerts even increased significantly. For 2017, the organizers reported around 90 free performances and 36 paid concerts with 14,500 tickets sold.

Deutschlandfunk Kultur recorded some of the concerts in 2017 and broadcast them a few months later in its "In Concert" series.
