Curciu ( German  Kirtsch , såksesch Kiertsch , Hungarian Küküllőkőrös or Szászkőrös ) is a village in Transylvania in Sibiu county ( Sibiu ), Romania . It belongs to the municipality of Dârlos ( Durles ).

history

Kirtsch was originally founded on Adelsboden by the Transylvanian Saxons around 1300 , but then, together with the neighboring villages of the Mediascher Stuhl , gained the Hermannstadt right and thus became a free municipality of the Königsboden . The first written mention comes from the year 1359.

Attractions

  • The Protestant church in Curciu, built in the 14th century and rebuilt in 1810–1814, is a listed building.
