Curren $ y (born April 4, 1981 ; actually Shante Scott Franklin ) is an American rapper from New Orleans .

biography

Back in 2003, Curren $ y was signed by No Limit Records , Master P's label . But neither there nor at Young Money by Lil Wayne , to which he moved two years later, he brought it up to your own album release. After all, he was represented on Wayne's album Tha Carter II in 2006 and released his own single, Where da Cash At, in the same year.

After breaking up with Young Money, he did some mixtapes at Fly Society , his own label he founded with skateboarder Terry Kennedy, and some digital releases before he finally graduated from Def Jam in 2010 . There he finally released his album debut Pilot Talk and in the same year Pilot Talk II , both of which entered the US album charts and reached the top 10 among rap albums.
