The Chilean silk ( Cuscuta suaveolens ) is a plant of the genus silk ( Cuscuta ) in the family of wind plants (Convolvulaceae). This parasite is common in South America .

description

Chilean Silk is a one-year , herbaceous plant reached, the plant height of 20 to 50 centimeters. It is similar to North American silk , but has larger flowers and a corolla tube that protrudes noticeably far from the calyx. The gullet scales are large and almost as long as the corolla tube. The pen is about as long and wide as the roll-shaped ovary .

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 28.
