action

The American military has developed an android that can be used as a pure fighting machine, free from human constraints and emotions. During a transport on a ship, the prototype of the Cy-Warriors, which is referred to as "3CB", accidentally comes into operation and, as the ship's crew cannot stop it, reaches a small island. Worried that the military secret of its development might be discovered, the ruthless Colonel Hammer lets a hunt for 3CB begin. This, outwardly a handsome young man, is taken in by the young Brandon, who lives alone with his sister Susan, and now lives on their sugar cane plantation . There 3CB can repair its own mechanical injuries; Susan falls in love with the naive and kind-hearted cyborg.

Meanwhile, Hammer and his men have reached the island and embroil 3CB in fierce firefights that kill many innocent islanders. In order to achieve his goal, Hammer has Brandon kidnapped in order to exchange him for the android. However, 3CB can free him; however, the child will be injured. 3CB furiously kills all of Hammers' people and himself. In order to save the boy's life, he finally sacrifices himself by using his functions to maintain the power supply of the small hospital where Brandon is operated on.

criticism

The lexicon of international films saw an "action film in the wake of" Number 5 lives ", which vacillates indecisively between harshness and sentimentality."

Roberto Poppi considers the film to be relatively well staged, with some cheap but well-dosed special effects. Equipped with a professional camera and good editing with satisfactory acting performances, the film found audiences abroad; in Italy, on the other hand, it was almost impossible to see.

Remarks

The story clearly reminds of number 5 alive! , as also pointed out by Ronald M. Hahn / Volker Jansen .

In the German version, Colonel Hammer becomes Agent Turner.
