Kenny Elissonde (born July 22, 1991 in Longjumeau ) is a French cyclist .

Career

Elissonde, who was French junior road racing champion in 2008 , won the overall ranking in the adult category in 2011 as well as a section of the U23 stage race Ronde de l'Isard . From August of this year he rode as a stagiaire with the Francaise des Jeux cycling team , where he received a regular contract from the next year.

In 2012 he won a stage and the points classification at Paris-Corrèze .

He celebrated his greatest success to date as the solo winner of the penultimate stage of the Vuelta a España 2013 , a mountain finish on the Alto de Angliru .

During the Vuelta a España 2016 he led the mountain classification for six days , but lost the lead after the 20th stage to Omar Fraile , who secured victory in the mountain classification with one point ahead of him.
