CyberLink ( Chinese  訊 連 科技 , Pinyin Xunlian Keji ) is a Taiwanese computer company headquartered in New Taipei . The company was founded in 1996 by Jau Huang , professor at National Taiwan University . CyberLink's product portfolio includes playback software for digital media ( Blu-ray Discs ), high-resolution videos in various formats, DVDs , VCDs with the PowerDVD program , editing software for videos and slide shows such as PowerDirector and MediaShow, products for the “digital home” “Like PowerCinema, as well as Mobile TV Solutions for all mobile TV standards in Europe, Asia and the USA.

CyberLink software is pre-installed on many PCs and laptops by OEM partners , but often under a different name. Companies such as Acer , Asus , Dell , Fujitsu , Fujitsu Siemens , Gateway , HP , LG , Lenovo , Medion , Samsung , Sony and Toshiba bundle their hardware with CyberLink software.

CyberLink has over 700 employees, including 500 in research and development. There are offices in Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region.

Corporate management

Current Chairman Jau Huang founded CyberLink Corp. in 1996. with a focus on the development of digital video and internet technologies. He personally leads the product development team, which consists of product managers, software developers and test engineers.

Alice H. Chang has been CEO of CyberLink since 1997 . She was a former Trend Micro vice president and investment advisor at Citigroup and listed CyberLink on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 2004 .
