Renata Cytacka

Renata Cytacka (born May 5, 1975 in Tausiūnai near Šalčininkai ) is a Lithuanian politician of Polish origin, member of the Vilnius City Council , former Deputy Minister for Energy (2013-2014).

Life

After graduating from Eišiškės in 1993 , Cytacka completed her master's degree in 1985 at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdansk . From 2000 to 2001 she had postgraduate studies in foreign trade . From 2002 to 2003, Cytacka received a Fulbright Fellowship and participated in the Lane Kirkland Fellowship Program. From 2003 to 2006 she was an advisor to the mayor of the Šalčininkai district and from 2006 to 2012 the council secretary of the Vilnius district .

From 2013 to July 2014, Cytacka was Vice Minister in the Lithuanian Ministry of Energy , Deputy Minister Jaroslavas Neverovičius (* 1976). She resigned after pressure from the government coalition leadership on the Lithuanian energy minister before the confirmation of the new cabinet of ministers after the 2014 Lithuanian presidential election . Cytacka came under fire for the propolian stance on Polish minority issues in Lithuania . She named the Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė as a liar. Algirdas Butkevičius called the deputy minister an incompetent politician. On his own house, Cytacka hung the inscription with the Polish language instead of the state language Lithuanian. There was no Lithuanian state flag on her home on Lithuanian national holidays . Instead, the flag of Poland hung . From her official ministry mailbox, she wrote in Polish instead of the official language, Lithuanian.

On August 18, 2014, under pressure from the Polish party LLRA (led by Valdemar Tomaševski ) , Cytacka was repeatedly appointed Energy Deputy Minister of Neverovičius without voting on the candidacy with Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius . That sparked the dispute in the governing coalition. Thereafter, on the proposal of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Energy was dismissed by the Lithuanian President Grybauskaitė on August 19, 2014 with the effect of a decree from August 25, 2014. Cytacka lost her powers as Vice Minister on August 25, 2014.

Since April 22, 2015, Cytacka has been a member of the Vilnius Municipality Council .

Cytacka is a member of Lietuvos lenkų rinkimų akcija .

family

Cytacka is married to Mariusz Cezary Cytacki, from April 2011 the public order controller of the Vilnius district administration . He has Polish citizenship . They have the children Katarzyna Lucja Cytacka and Malgorzata Maria Cytacka. Cytacka lives with his family in Jašiūnai .

Cytacka's husband Cytacki became famous when he filed a lawsuit with the European Commission ( EU ), because as a civil servant of Lithuania he was asked to learn the state language ( Lithuanian ) and to prove his language skills through an examination. Valstybinė kalbos inspekcija , a language authority, fined officer Cytackis 1000 litas (300 euros) for ignoring the requirement to pass the language test and thereby violating the law on the state language of the Republic of Lithuania ( Valstybinės kalbos įstatymas ). In response to Cytacki's lawsuit, the Vilnius District Court reduced the sanction to 600 Lt (180 euros). Cytacki went on to complain. The Vilnius District Court did not change the court decision.
