Czernichów is a village in the powiat Żywiecki of the Silesian Voivodeship in Poland . It is eponymous for the rural community of the same name with a little more than 6,800 inhabitants.
The seat of the municipality is the smaller village Tresna .

The rural community (gmina wiejska) extends over 56.26 km² and is divided into four villages with school offices. The municipality is located on the northern tip of the Powiat, in the south it borders on Slovakia .
