Dörrensolz is a village in Unterkatz , a district of the town of Wasungen in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district in Thuringia .
The place is between Unterkatz, Oberkatz and Stepfershausen , on the edge of the Geba mountain near the Rhönkulturpark and on the 1124 road .

This property was first mentioned in a document in 828. The place in the Amt Sand belonged to the Duchy of Saxony-Meiningen since 1680 .
