Bonndorf is located northwest of Wasungen on the right of the federal highway 19 at the foot of the southwestern roof of the Thuringian Forest in the valley of the Werra .

history

The district was first mentioned in a document in 1262. The place was in the Henneberg office Wasungen , which from 1680 belonged to the Duchy of Saxony-Meiningen . Around 97 people lived in the district in 2013.
