Manny Marc
Manny Marc (born April 21, 1980 in Berlin-Tempelhof ; real name Marc Schneider ) is a German music producer , DJ and rapper . At the beginning of his career he wrote himself DJ Manny Markk , then DJ Manny Marc and finally Manny Marc .
biography
Musical beginnings
He is the DJ and member of the South Berlin rap group Bass Crew , but is in the artistic background of the three other members Frauenarzt , MC Basstard and MC Bogy .
Manny Marc emphasizes that he is not a rapper, but he has been rapping on many tracks since the album Berlin remains underground ; before that, he had distorted his voice mostly like a robot. His voice was also edited for his pseudonym Freddy Krüger.
Career since working with a gynecologist as Die Atzen
The first collaboration between the gynecologist and the then DJ Manny Marc came about when her label Bassboxxx was founded in 1997. This was renamed Ghetto Music in 2006 and finally Atzenmusik .
Collaboration singles appeared again and again under the title Frauenarzt & Manny Marc until they started working under the title Die Atzen , since the first successful single Florida Lady . This was published in September 2008.
In 2009 the song Das geht ab! (We celebrate all night) from the album Atzen-Musik Vol. 1 to the summer hit in the discos of Palma . The gynecologist and Manny Marc therefore traveled to the Riu Palace disco every Sunday to present their joint hit. The song reached number 8 in the singles charts in Germany and was able to place high in the top 100 in the entire German-speaking area of Europe.
At the beginning of 2010 the next single Disco Pogo by Frauenarzt and Manny Marc was released, although they were only named by their name Die Atzen . The piece reached number 12 in the charts in the first week, and in the following week even climbed into the top ten at number 6, giving the single a better ranking than Das geht ab! (We party all night) . In the following weeks Disco Pogo even rose to number 2.
In August 2012, the single was released ? OK! which was mixed by the Swiss DJs DJ Antoine and Mad Mark . It was the second and last single from the album.
He's also in the song What Would Manny Marc Do? represented by KIZ.
Others
From July 16-19, 2020, Manny Marc was part of a 72-hour live stream on Jens “Knossi” Knossalla's Twitch channel . In addition to him and Knossalla, Sido and Sascha Hellinger as well as various guests such as Kool Savas , gynecologist , Andreas Bourani and Pietro Lombardi were involved in the so-called “ fishing camp ” near Brandenburg an der Havel . On the first day, the stream cracked the German audience record on the Twitch streaming platform, with around 220,000 simultaneous viewers at times, which was expanded to over 300,000 parallel viewers on the evening of the third day.
