Da Blechhauf'n ( Austrian / Bavarian for "Der Blechhaufen"; abbreviated BH ) is a brass band from Austria .

history

The group came together by making music together in the Musikverein, and da Blechhauf'n gave their first concert in 2000. Four of the musicians come from Burgenland , and one each from Styria , Carinthia and Salzburg .

Since the founding of Woodstock for brass music in 2011, they have been heard at the brass music festival every year. The live line-up "da Blechhauf'n XXL", expanded to include electric guitar and drums, has existed since 2013. Together with singer and performer Erika Stucky there is also the formation "Wally & die 7 Geier". In 2017, trombonist Georg Steiner quit and Philipp Fellner took over.

In addition to virtuoso instrumental pieces, Blechhauf'n also performs works with singing. The concert programs are more like a musical cabaret.
