Dafawa

Dafawa is a village in the Illéla municipality in Niger .
The village is located about 39 kilometers southwest of the city center of Illéla, the capital of the Illéla department of the same name in the Tahoua region . Larger villages in the area are the approximately 14 kilometers north location Dangona and about 14 kilometers east location Toullou .
At the 2012 census, Dafawa had 7,002 residents who lived in 1,123 households. At the 2001 census, the population was 4,536 in 709 households, and at the 1988 census, the population was 2,953 in 460 households.
One of the sights in the village is the grave of the warrior Washar, whose father was Mallam, the founding father of the traditional rulers of Illéla.
