Toullou (Illéla)

Toullou (also: Toulou ) is a village in the municipality of Illéla in Niger .

The village is located about 30 kilometers south of the city center of Illéla, the capital of the Illéla department of the same name in the Tahoua region . Larger villages in the area are the approximately six kilometers northeast location tajae sédentaire which some 14 kilometers northwest preferred Dandadji which some 14 kilometers west location Dafawa which some 16 kilometers east location Dabnou and around 20 kilometers south-east location Guidan Ider . Toullou consists of two districts, each run by their own traditional local chiefs ( chefs traditionnels ): Toullou I and Toullou II.

At the 2012 census, Toullou had 8,785 inhabitants who lived in 1268 households. At the 2001 census, the population was 4,630 in 724 households, and at the 1988 census, the population was 2,836 in 440 households.

There is a simple health center in Toullou without its own laboratory or maternity ward. The weekly market in Toullou is one of the most important in the Illéla municipality. Cattle and everyday goods are traded here.
