In 1931 he opened his own office, which he ran from 1932 together with Mads Wiel Gedde and Gunnar Øvergaard Jørgen . From 1940 to 1945 he was a consulting architect for Hedmark and Oppsdal as part of the reconstruction after many cities were bombed by the Wehrmacht . As part of this, in 1940 he and Jørgen designed the so-called Svenskhusa in prefabricated construction , which was implemented in many cases with the support of the Swedish Red Cross and the Swedish state during the reconstruction. In Bodø a district is named after these houses.
Morseth's better-known designs include the churches in Notodden in Telemark (built 1935) and in Jar / Bærum ( Akershus ) (1961), the town hall in Harstad ( Troms ) (1953) and the hospitals in Mo i Rana ( Nordland ) (1964) ) and Haugesund ( Rogaland ) (1958). Morseth's style is most likely to be assigned to functionalism , although simplified classicist and romantic features can be seen in his designs.
