Surname

There are three waterways in Crow Wing County, Daggett Creek and Brook, respectively . All three are named after the woodcutter Benjamin F. Daggett (1821-1901) who worked in Minnesota from 1855. The Daggett Creek itself is also known as the Brook , a Daggett Brook feeds the lake from which the Creek rises. In the USGS GNIS , however, there are separate entries for both bodies of water under different waterway indicators.
