Dagmar Ehrlich
Dagmar Ehrlich (born November 6, 1960 ) is a German-speaking specialist journalist in the fields of wine and enjoyment , health and wellness, Dipl.-Ing. for oenology and viticulture and sommeliers. She lives and works in Hamburg .
Education and professional career
After her training as an agricultural-technical assistant, she first worked as a scientific assistant at the University of Erlangen. In preparation for her studies, she did several internships in wine-growing businesses at home and abroad (France, Italy) as well as training as a sommelier conseil (Université-du-Vin, Suze-la-Rousse). From 1980 to 1984 she studied viticulture and cellar management at the Wiesbaden University of Applied Sciences - Geisenheim . During her studies she founded the Ehrlichs Wein-Kontor in Karlsruhe with her brother Matthias Ehrlich, who later became the director of web.de.This is a wine business with exclusively its own wine imports from Italy, France and Portugal as well as a bistro and sales of raw milk cheese, sherry, Grappa and pottery from Portugal. After the sale, she became the managing director of a new line of business for Germany's largest wine mail order company, Hawesko, and did pioneering work in online distribution.
In 1991 she began her career as a professional wine journalist. For ten years she headed the tastings of the specialist journal Feinschmecker and published the results. She was also the author of the prestigious list of the "100 best available wines in the world" and was also responsible for the wine recommendations since the first publication of the Wein Gourmet . For Spiegel and Handelsblatt she wrote about wine economics. In addition, she has repeatedly published for Vital and Bild . Today Dagmar Ehrlich works as a freelance journalist for wine , holistic enjoyment , organizes oenotourism and wine seminars with tasting training .

B. briefly and clearly the most important 106 of over 10,000 grape varieties worldwide . Since her student days she has been particularly interested in organic wines and is one of the main authors of In bio veritas , a brochure that aims to bring organic wine closer to those interested in wine and to arouse curiosity about biodynamic wine . In this context, she relies on new varieties that are resistant to fungi.
For the ecological viticulture association ECOVIN, she moderated the award of the Biofach wine award at the world's leading trade fair for organic products, BIOFACH in Nuremberg . At Prowein 2014, she moderated cutting-edge topics that move the world of wine - from biodynamics to vegan wine.
